BREAKDOWN: Watching film is all well and good, but seeing Marcus Baugh in person at the Under Armour All-America Game showed an explosive playmaker from the tight end position. Baugh can be a deep threat from the position, and can be a matchup nightmare because of his size and speed combination. - Bill Greene
Baugh is an incredible athlete on both sides of the ball. He's getting looks primarily as a tight end but could easily play defensive end or even linebacker in college. Also a talented basketball player but his future is on the gridiron. Shows strong hands and projects as a Kellen Winslow type tight end that can make plays down the field. He's much too athletic for a linebacker to cover but has a big size advantage over a safety as well.- Greg Biggins
Baugh On Choosing Ohio State: "There are a lot of reasons why I committed to Ohio State but coach Meyer was a big one. He's a great coach and has always had great success using the tight end. I want to be the next Aaron Hernandez, I think I play a similar game and that's how they plan to use me. "I love the tradition at Ohio State and I also have family in the area and that was important as well. I'll have a nice support group around me since I'll be pretty far from home."
"I think I'm a complete tight end," Baugh said. "I can run and catch but I actually enjoy blocking too. I think overall, Ohio State was just a great fit for me and I wanted to get this over with early so I can focus on enjoying my summer and senior year.
"I haven't visited Ohio State since I was 12 but I'm going to check them out soon here. Hopefully I can get out there in the summer and I'll obviously do an official visit as well. I know enough about the school to know it's the best fit for me and I'm very excited to be a Buckeye."
