Avon Lake (OH) junior Ben Oxley picked up his first Big Ten offer from Illinois in July. On Tuesday, the lineman added another school to his list.
"I got an offer from Northwestern today," said Oxley. "It was a very, very pleasant surprise."
When it comes to the Wildcats, Oxley is impressed with what they have to offer.
"There isn't anything bad that you can say about Northwestern. It's a great place, great coaches, high standing academic institution, and a great location. I'm really excited about it and I'm looking forward to going up there in the Spring."
So, where would Oxley say his interest with Northwestern is?
"I am very much interested in them. It will be a sincere consideration for me."
The junior hopes to take some visits to several schools soon.
"I'll go up to Northwestern and Illinois or a Spring practice. I'm trying to make a trip to West Virginia, Michigan State and Duke as well but those will probably come after basketball season in the Spring."
