First Offer For Ohio Sophomore

Cincinnati Colerain lineman George Brown is one of the top 2015 prospects in Ohio, and the sophomore lineman has picked up his first offer. Brown visited Kentucky this past weekend and walked away with a Wildcat offer.

George Brown hit the recruiting radar last year as a sophomore tight end at Cincinnati Colerain, and he is one of the top 2015 prospects in Ohio.

Brown, 6-foot-6, 245-pounds, visited Kentucky this past weekend, and he left with an offer from head coach Mark Stoops.

"I was there for junior day and they took me into Coach Stoops' office, and after we talked for a while they told me they were offering me a scholarship," Brown stated. "It is a great feeling, and I have to say I was both excited and surprised. It makes me feel that all the hard work I'm putting in is paying off, but I know I have a lot of work left to do."

"They didn't specify what position they were offering me for, and it could be for defensive end or offensive tackle," he added. "I think a lot of the Kentucky program, and I really like the coaching staff a lot. They didn't pressure me to commit and they told me to take my time with recruiting."

Brown earlier visited Ohio State and Michigan State for games, and has another unofficial visit planned for this coming weekend.

"I hearing the most from Bowling Green and Miami of Florida right now," he explained. "I think Bowling Green is about to offer and Miami has already been to my school twice. I'm planning on going to Tennessee next weekend for a visit, and I'm not sure about anything after that right now, but I'd like to see a few more schools this spring."
