Domer Earns Orange Offer

The third offer arrived this weekend for Chicago Mt. Carmel (Ill.) junior running back Matt Domer, and it's his first from the Big East.

Syracuse added themselves to the mix for 6'0, 180-lb running back Matt Domer over the weekend, offering the Chicago based running back a scholarship and joining Northern Illinois and Illinois on that list.

"They actually contacted me through my coaches," he explained. "They saw my film through them. Me and my father were thinking about going out there, maybe over spring break, to check it out, but we haven't set a date."

The calendar is beginning to fill up for Domer as he looks to get out and visit several programs who have yet to offer, but are becoming increasingly interested.

"I know on the 16th, I'm going down to Indiana and I'm working on a Michigan State date. I have to get it set with Coach Roushar. That's for sure and then we're still talking to try to get up to Ohio State and down to Florida State."

Before Syracuse, it was home state Illinois who was the most recent offer for Domer, and he was happy to get one from in-state.

"It was pretty good. At least I know I'm a highly noticed player in the state of Illinois. It was pretty nice to get that offer. It's an honor to get a Big Ten offer."

Over the next few months, Domer hopes to add to that offer list, and will head to camp if he needs to in order to do that.

"I definitely want to do a camp at Ohio State for sure. I think I'm going to go out to Oregon. I'm still working on the camp thing too. By spring break, I should have everything set."
