Avon Lake (OH) junior Ben Oxley has picked up his fifth offer.
"Western Michigan offered me," said Oxley. "I don't know all that much about the school because I've only been talking to them for a week. But I know enough to know that I really, really like the coaching staff. I think that they have some very intelligent and prosperous coaches on that staff."
The linebacker also holds offers from Bowling Green, Illinois, Northwestern and Toledo. When it comes to where Western Michigan stacks up against his other offers, he would need to get on campus before he could make a decision.
"I'm still gauging my interest in them only because I've never been on campus, but I plan to make a trip very soon when basketball ends."
The linebacker has also been on the radar of several other schools.
"I'm hearing from Indiana, Wisconsin, Boston College, UCONN, Georgia Tech, Temple, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan State and a little from Alabama."
The 6-foot-6, 245 pound junior is in the middle of basketball season, but once that's over he hopes to hit the road and see some of his schools up close.
"I would like to get back to Northwestern and Illinois; that's a priority of mine. Also, I'm going to visit Duke and hopefully Michigan State. I would like to go see Western Michigan and Yale early in the spring as well as Louisville."
