Cole Lands Buckeyes Offer

Saginaw Heritage (Mich.) sophomore S-WR Brian Cole visited Ohio State and left with an offer. He talked about the day and which position the Buckeyes see him at.

Ohio State extended an offer to one of the top sophomores in the state of Michigan on Saturday, as Saginaw Heritage's 6'2, 190-lb Brian Cole was offered on his visit.

"It was real nice," he said. "We got a tour and everything. It was different. I've never been anywhere like this before. I like Braxton Miller as a player and I got to see him practice, throw the ball and run."

Cole had a chance to meet some of the coaches and continue to get to know his area recruiter Kerry Coombs.

"We only talked to couple coaches, but Coach Coombs is crazy and intense. He's the one that really took us back there. Coach is a real nice dude. He treated me real well."

Currently with additional offers from Michigan and Michigan State, some see Cole as a receiver, but others are recruiting him at safety. He says the Buckeyes offered him as a defensive back.

He does not have any visits coming up as baseball will begin to take up much of his time, but he did talk to Ohio State about when he can get back to Columbus.

"Yeah, for camp and they want me at their Friday Night Lights camp."
