For Ulis this spring is going to be a big spring for him, and he got it off to a great start.
"I am just trying to come out and run this team and get the team together," said Ulis. "We have a lot of big time players on this team, and we are new playing on the same team, so we are just trying to get better."
"I got a new offer from Purdue and I am going to be going down there on Thursday," he noted.
Ulis continued about the Boilermakers, "I have watched Purdue over the years and they have been good. They have gotten a lot of big wins in the Big Ten. It is a good conference to play in. I just want to go down there and visit and see what the coaches are like and the campus is like."
When it comes to Missouri, things are just at the beginning stages of his recruitment, but he does like that the Tigers are interested.
"I haven't talked to them much, but they are interested in me and they want to come to my school and see me play, so it is good to hear from them," said Ulis of Missouri.
All added the recruiting interest recently has been some vindication for Ulis who has been doubted every step of the way because of his height, now all of his hard work is paying off.
"I always knew I could play no matter how tall I am or small I am," said Ulis. "It is great to prove people wrong and be in a position where I can just work on my game and get better."
For now Ulis is in no hurry to make a decision and says he plans to play out the summer before making a commitment.
"I'm going to wait until the summer is over with and see what all of my options are, and just wait until I know for sure," said Ulis.
