Ohio TE Enjoyed Spartans Visit

Ohio tight end Jordan Rigg was one of several prospects from Ohio to make the trip to East Lansing for Saturday's annual Green-White game. We caught up with Rigg for his thoughts about the visit and interest he might be receiving from the Spartans.

With a tradition of using the tight end heavily in their offensive game plan, Michigan State is still on the lookout for a possible tight end for the 2014 recruiting class.

Springboro (Ohio) tight end Jordan Rigg made the trip up to East Lansing for the Spartans annual Green-White game and liked what he saw.

"The trip to Michigan State was sweet," said Rigg. "They have a nice campus and a great football stadium. We got up there about noon and looked around. Later we took a tour of the facilities and drove around campus a little bit."

Responsible for his recruitment is Spartans defensive backs coach Harlon Barnett. Did Rigg get any time with his main Spartans contact?

"I talked with Coach Barnett for a little bit," said Rigg. "He's going to be stopping by my school on Tuesday. Right now they are telling me to come to camp so they can evaluate me."

An offer from the Spartans would be big for Rigg who currently holds an offer from Ohio.

"A Michigan State offer would be my biggest offer and I would like that a lot," said Rigg. "I like the fact they are a Big Ten school and they have a lot of new facilities."
