Young's Buckeye Board: Linebacker

Ohio State currently has seven commits to the 2014 recruiting class, and the assistant coaches have hit the road during the spring evaluation period checking out top prospects. Who is on the Buckeye recruiting board? Derek Young takes a look at the linebacker position.

COMMITTED: Kyle Berger and Sam Hubbard.

Having two already committed at the position could be a bit misleading. It is anyone's guess where Hubbard could end up. Linebacker could be the best guess though.

1- Raekwon McMillan, Chase Winovich, Dante Booker, and Clifton Garrett.

All four of the talented linebackers have expressed heavy interest at one time or another. Clifton Garrett is slipping out of Ohio State's grasp but it is expected that the Buckeyes land McMillan, Winovich, and Booker.

All three could be in the bag by the beginning of fall. McMillan plans to visit Ohio State over the summer and has said that his parents will be brought along for the trip, which is a sign that it is very serious between the two sides.

Winovich has a Michigan visit expected to take place this upcoming weekend but Ohio State is in command position. Booker has taken a second trip to Notre Dame, but also has taken several trips to check out the Buckeyes' campus.

2- Petera Wilson, Nyles Morgan, Dillon Bates, Marquis Ware, and Jamardre Cobb.

With two at the position already giving their pledge to Urban Meyer's program, along with the leans in the first group, there might not be another spot to claim.

Morgan, Ware, and Cobb have not shown genuine interest in Ohio State to date. Bates is Tennessee's to lose. Petera Wilson could be the only possibility out of the group. The Buckeyes are the only school he's given a hard look to outside of the SEC.

3- Vincent Jackson Jr. and Kevin Mouhon.

Jackson hasn't stepped outside of the south since his recruitment took off. He is on the radar, but towards the bottom.

Kevin Mouhon is towards the bottom as well but he could visit Ohio State at some point. Mouhon goes to Norcross High School in Georgia, and teammates with Myles Autry and Lorenzo Carter. All three have been offered by Ohio State and have shown interest. A trip to the Buckeyes' campus from all three would not surprise, but is not definite.
