2. Everybody else

Buckeyes' QB Recruiting Board (May 23).

1. Deshaun Watson and Kyle Allen.

Since the last segment of the Ohio State quarterbacks board Scottsdale (AZ) Desert Mountain signal caller Kyle Allen received an offer from the Buckeyes' coaching staff. Allen is a five-star prospect and the top-rated quarterback in the nation. Allen has soared to the top of the list of quarterbacks Urban Meyer's crew would love to land, alongside Georgia native Deshaun Watson.

Watson shut his recruitment down for a couple days, telling other schools he was finished listening to their pitches and remaining committed to Clemson. Days later Ohio State and Alabama were welcomed into Gainesville High School to check out the four-star prospect from Georgia.

2. Brandon Harris.

Bossier City (LA) Parkway quarterback Brandon Harris received an offer from Ohio State soon after Allen had been offered. The Louisiana native is a rung below Watson and Allen on the ladder but the Buckeyes would be comfortable having him as their signal caller for the 2014 class. He is expected to visit the Ohio State coaches a week from today (May 30).

3. Zack Darlington.

The Florida prospect also received an offer from Ohio State after Watson had vowed to shut down his recruitment. Darlington runs the spread offense for powerhouse Apopka High School in Florida. He holds other offers from Nebraska, North Carolina State, Minnesota, Arizona, Boston College, Southern Miss, West Virginia, and Virginia Tech. The three-star prospect couldn't commit to Ohio State today if he wanted to, but a strong camp performance on his visit to Columbus June 18-19.

4. Everyone else.

Who actually is everyone else? It is not totally clear at the moment but the Ohio State staff will do their work to have back-up plans for nearly every scenario. Toledo (OH) Central Catholic prospect DeShone Kizer is still an uncommitted prospect and camped at Ohio State last July. Georgia prospect Stephen Collier will camp at Ohio State on June 9 after being invited by Buckeyes' assistant Tom Herman who saw a full practice of his a couple weeks ago. Others will pop up as the process wanes on.
