OSU Weekly Recruiting Update

Ohio State hosted several top visitors this week in their attempt to build a top-ranked recruiting class. What took place this past week?

Jalen Brown. Four-star wide receiver. Phoenix (AZ) Mountain Pointe. Brown visited Ohio State along with Michigan, Michigan State, and Wisconsin. The Buckeyes have already offered and he does have family ties in the Midwest.

Solomon Thomas. Four-star defensive end. Coppell (TX). The Buckeyes were able to host Thomas this week which is a good start. He'll be a tough pull but placed Ohio State in his final nine schools that he is considering.

Jonathan Hilliman. Three-star running back. Jersey City (NJ) St. Peter's Prep. Hilliman thoroughly enjoyed his visit to Ohio State and told Scout that he was tempted to commit. The Buckeyes are in the driver's seat and now lead for his services.

Jacques Patrick. 2015 running back. Orlando (FL) Timber Creek. Patrick made the trip to the Midwest that included trips to Northwestern, Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State, as well as the Sound Mind Sound Body football camp. The talented running back has already planned a return visit to Columbus to see the Buckeyes take on Penn State.

Jeffery Holland. 2015 linebacker. Jacksonville (FL) Trinity Christian. Holland holds an offer from the Buckeyes and Ohio State is in good company by receiving a visit this early.

Kevin Toliver. 2015 cornerback. Jacksonville (FL) Trinity Christian. Toliver has already committed to LSU but joined his teammates on the trip that saw the group visit several schools.

Isaiah Ford. Three-star wide receiver. Jacksonville (FL) Trinity Christian. Another top talent from Trinity Christian was on the trip and saw Ohio State along with his teammates. The tour also included a stop at Louisville where Ford is committed.

Drew Richmond. 2015 offensive tackle. Memphis (TN) University School. Richmond is among the best offensive linemen in the 2015 class and took his first visit to Ohio State. The Buckeyes are in terrific shape and he hopes to visit for one of the night games in Columbus this year.

Chad Mavety. Four-star junior college offensive tackle. Mavety will be sure to garner the staff's full attention while on campus. He's a top target given his ability to come in and contribute along the offensive line immediately.

Quincy Wilson. Three-star safety. Fort Lauderdale (FL) University School. Ohio State is one of the schools recruiting Wilson the hardest and he is in the middle of his second unofficial visit to the Buckeyes' campus.

Richard Yeargin III. Four-star linebacker. Fort Lauderdale (FL) University School. Yeargin has made the trip with Wilson to make stops at Notre Dame and Ohio State. Notre Dame has pursued Yeargin hard thus far.
