Rigg Receiving New Interest

Tight end Jordan Rigg has seen two new offers along with a couple of other programs showing new interest. We caught up with Rigg for the latest on his recruitment.

For Springboro (Ohio) tight end Jordan Rigg the clock continues ticking towards the beginning of his senior season leaving the 6-foot-5, 245-pound tight end alarmed by how fast his high school career is coming to an end.

"I'm very surprised my senior year has gotten here so fast," said Rigg. "I remember like it was only yesterday that I was playing here my sophomore year."

Over the summer Rigg has added a couple of new offers but has also learned the hard facts about the recruiting process as slots are taken by other prospects.

"I have four offers now," he said. "Ohio University and Ball State both offered but had some tight ends commit. So I'm not sure I could commit to either school right now. Buffalo offered me and the next day Massachusetts offered me.

"I've been talking with Coach (Marty) Spieler at Buffalo and he's been talking with me about visiting to see their facilities.

"I've been looking at both schools facilities online and hope to visit both schools soon. However, the distance has kept me from visiting so far."

While Rigg has been looking for the time to visit the two Mid American Conference programs, he's also heard from two programs in the Big Ten.

"I'm now talking with Indiana and Purdue," said Rigg. "So we'll have to see what happens with them in the future."
