Freshman QB To Visit Bucks

It's rare to see a freshman take a recruiting visit to Ohio State, but it's also rare to see one as talented as Danny Clark. The Massillon quarterback will be in Columbus this Saturday.

Danny Clark made the most of his first varsity start Thursday night, as the freshman quarterback led Massillon to a three-overtime, 23-20 win over Canton GlenOak.

Clark, 6-foot-3, 205-pounds, completed 14 of 24 passes for 170-yards and three touchdowns, including a game-saving touchdown throw to Reggie Rogers in the second overtime.

"I'm so blessed to be in this situation, and everything we did tonight was for our team," Clark said after the game. "My coaches kept telling me to stay calm throughout the game, and that's what I tried to do."

"I can't describe how excited I am to see our team pull this game out," he added. "Even when things looked bad we never gave up, and I always felt our guys would find a way to win."

Ohio State has shown interest in Clark since he appeared at their summer camp last June, and the interest is mutual. Clark will visit Ohio State this Saturday for the game with San Diego State.

"I will be going to Ohio State this weekend for their game, and I'm very excited about that," Clark stated. "I've been there for games before, but this will be the first time as a recruit."

"The Buckeye tradition is amazing, and I've loved the Ohio State Buckeyes ever since I knew what football was," he admitted. "That's going to be a big thing for me on Saturday, and it's going to be pretty emotional for me to be there. I know it's going to be amazing."

FOXSportsNEXT will be following up with Clark this weekend to get his thoughts on his visit to Columbus.
