Tiassum discusses OSU visits

2015 Indianapolis (IN) Park Tudor defensive tackle discusses both of his recent visits to Ohio State.

2015 Indianapolis (IN) Park Tudor defensive tackle Brandon Tiassum has visited Ohio State two of the last four weeks.

He was there a few weeks ago for the night game against Wisconsin and then returned this past weekend to see the Buckeyes defeat Iowa.

Tiassum talked about his experiences at Ohio State.

"I visited Ohio State twice," he said. "The energy level was unreal for both games. I was expecting the Iowa game to have a bit less energy to it but it was up there too. The fans and their passion was non-stop from start to finish at both games."

There was one thing that jumped out to Tiassum on his visits and it came from observing the coaches.

"The coaches at Ohio State love their school and it just makes the players want to play their heart out," he stated. "Being there twice has shown me that the players have bought into the coaching staff there. There's a lot of chemistry there. I really like that about them."

"I really like Ohio State," he added. "They weren't necessarily a dream school growing up but they were one of the teams I always liked to watch."

He explained what the Buckeyes' staff has told him so far.

"I have a real good relationship with Ohio State," he noted. "The coaches are always friendly when we speak. They keep saying that they like my film. They call me a big man that can move and get off the ball quick. Coach (Kerry) Coombs is supposed to come down and visit my coach this week."

Tiassum is the nation's 15th best defensive tackle for the 2015 class and is rated as a four-star prospect.
