Game Film: J.D. Crabtree

Massillon two-way junior J.D. Crabtree is one of the more underrated prospects in Ohio for the class of 2015. He holds one offer at this time, and is getting BCS looks. Here is film of Crabtree playing against Canton GlenOak.

One of the benefits of having such a large recruiting team at Scout.com is the ability to be able to see so many top players on any given weekend.

Evaluating players is one of a recruiting analyst's duties, as well as filming the players in action. After seeing Massillon junior J.D. Crabtree in action, I hesitated putting up his film.

Crabtree, 5-foot-10, 220-pounds, played this game against Canton GlenOak with a severely injured right foot and was clearly not at 100%. Normally, it wouldn't be fair to the player to show him in a game he should not have been playing due to injury.

Another look at the tape, and I think it's the right decision to show this kid from this game. Crabtree played the entire game, and it lasted three overtimes, on both sides of the football.

He basically participated in over 100 plays on one leg, and the film speaks for itself. Crabtree is one of the top 2015 prospects in Ohio, and while he is definitely not the ideal size, his heart is not to be questioned.

Crabtree is #19 in the gray jersey, playing tailback, defensive end and linebacker.
