2015 Recruiting Board: Quarterbacks

Ohio State has identified their top targets early on at the quarterback position in the 2015 class and our in a commanding spot for a couple.

It may be wise to go with two at the position but that is always a difficult task. It has been done but you don't normally get the top two on the wish list.

TOP TARGETS: Brandon Wimbush, Lorenzo Nunez, and Torrance Gibson

I think Wimbush budges first leaving Nunez to look elsewhere, but it could also occur vise-versa. Torrance Gibson wants to be a quarterback but most view him as one of the best prospects at the wide receiver position. He likes the Buckeyes and it'll be interesting if they can stay near the top if another top signal caller locks up a spot in the Ohio State class.

It is clear they have centered their aim on the guys they want early on, unlike in the 2014 class where they chased a committed prospect for a while and dragged their feet on other targets.

I think they get one of the guys they want and it could happen soon.

OTHER TARGETS: Kelly Bryant, Jauan Jennings, Elijah Sindelar, Anthony Ratliff, and DeAndre Johnson

Bryant has already paid for two trips to Columbus from his hometown Piedmont, South Carolina. The interest seems to be legitimate but he has yet to receive an offer from the Buckeyes. Sindelar and Ratliff do not have Ohio State offers either.

Jauan Jennings has an Ohio State offer and has been to campus once. He could also be a prospect on the defensive side of the ball. DeAndre Johnson has already been extended an offer from the Buckeyes but is an early Florida State commitment.
