Daniels picks up Ohio State offer

Four-star junior defensive tackle Darrion Daniels adds an Ohio State offer. He explains how important of an offer it is and shares what he knows about the program.

2015 Dallas (TX) Bishop Dunne defensive tackle Darrion Daniels picked up a new offer on Monday as Ohio State extended a scholarship his way.

Daniels received the news from his coach who let him know that the Buckeyes were the most recent school to identify him as a top prospect.

"It wasn't one I was expecting," Daniels said. "I was surprised I was good enough to get noticed from up north."

Daniels discussed what he knew about Ohio State and the Texas product is well aware of past and current players of the Buckeyes' program.

"I know Orlando Pace was an amazing offensive tackle there," Daniels stated. "Terrelle Pryor was great there too. I also don't want to forget DeSoto superstar Dontre Wilson is there right now. I'm not sure about the tradition of the program but I know about some of their success.

Although it was an offer that caught him off guard, it still holds value for Daniels.

"It's a very important offer for me," he admitted. "It comes from a highly ranked team who has a ton of respect. They're well known for winning and fielding great teams about every year."

"I look forward to getting in contact with their coaches and see what they're like," he continued. "It would be great to be able to visit Ohio State. I'd love to see what it's like up there. If it's anything like I've heard, I know I will like it."

Daniels is ranked as a four-star prospect and is the nation's 18th best defensive tackle for the 2015 class.
