Scout gives you the latest on those Scout 300 prospects expected to commit in the coming days here:
Johnnie Dixon | 4-star WR | Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Dwyer
This one will end soon. He was scheduled to announce his decision Sunday a week ago, but pushed it back so he and his team could focus on the state championship game. Dwyer took care of business and won the title, so now Dixon will announce his decision soon. Ohio State looks to be the school trending at this time with Miami still in it. Many felt he would stay close to home and be a Hurricane when all was said and done and he still could, but the Buckeyes have put themselves right in the thick of this race with a chance to win.
C.J. Hampton | 4-star S | Meridian (Miss.)
The question here is, can Ole Miss hang on? Hampton was the first Rebel commit in the 2015 class and he has been known as a lead recruiter much of the past year. He has spent many days in Oxford, but he has visited Alabama numerous times this fall as well. Arkansas and Florida State have come into the picture too, but it looks like Hampton will stay with Ole Miss or end up in Tuscaloosa. This one could go either way and it seems the Tide may have a little momentum here, but he has been with Hugh Freeze and that staff for a long time.
Raekwon McMillan | 4-star ILB | Hinesville (Ga.) Liberty County
Has Alabama done it again? It seems the Tide just can wave a magic wand at times and get who it wants in recruiting. Ohio State was a big leader for McMillan for months, but since he visited Tuscaloosa early in November, the Tide have been trending. Clemson made a run, Auburn jumped in late and has given him something to think about too, but Alabama is clearly the school being linked with McMillan most leading up to his Monday declaration. Auburn is still in it and he will meet with them Sunday afternoon before seeing Urban Meyer Sunday night. Alabama was in on Thursday. It appears Alabama has the momentum with Ohio State right there at the top with Auburn still in the fight.
Dante Sawyer | 4-star DE | Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett
Sawyer has been quiet for the past few weeks focusing on the playoffs. He and his team fell in the state championship game Saturday night and he could be closing in on a decision. Tuesday is the day Sawyer will announce his decision and South Carolina is in the lead. Missouri made a run at him with his teammate Nate Brown a Tiger commitment, but the Gamecocks will be tough to beat. Auburn and Tennessee have been in this race as well.
It may be the dead period beginning at midnight Monday, but there will be plenty of recruiting action to keep up with this week.
