Austin Clark adds Ohio State offer

2015 Lexington (VA) Rockbridge County offensive tackle Austin Clark has visited Ohio State twice and now has an offer from the Buckeyes.

2015 Lexington (VA) Rockbridge County offensive tackle Austin Clark picked up another recently from Ohio State.

Clark has already been to Ohio State for a visit twice. He camped in Columbus over the summer and made a return trip during the Fall to see the Buckeyes host Penn State.

The 6-foot-6 junior spoke to Scout about those trips.

"I was really motivated the first time to impress the Ohio State staff at the camp," said Clark of his first time in Columbus. "I didn't get an offer and it only motivated me even more to have a great junior year."

"The second trip was for the night game against Penn State," added Clark. "I was able to speak with Coach Warinner and Coach Smith some and I enjoyed that. They are both great guys but I really get along with Coach Smith the most. It was real exciting to see him again and to see the stadium. They have a lot to offer as a program."

Clark talked specifically about the new offer from the Buckeyes.

"It was awesome to find out about the offer from Ohio State," he admitted. "I like the history of their program. If you want to win, Ohio State is a good place to go. They have Coach Meyer which is a big attraction as well. They have only lost one game since he's been there so he has definitely done something special there and has been very successful."

"It's definitely a school I like a lot to be honest," Clark continued. "I've obviously already been there twice so that is a bit of proof right there. I hope to get ack there again sometime, either for a junior day or a visit over the summer. It's definitely a school I've looked at seriously."

The three-star offensive tackle has a timeframe he'd like to work in when approaching towards a college decision.

"By the end of July I hope to have narrowed down my choice to three or five schools," stated Clark. "I then plan on taking official visits to those schools and making a college choice by Christmas time next year." will continue to bring you the latest on Clark's recruitment as warranted.
