2016 Savannah (GA) Country Day wide receiver Demetris Robertson will be an elite prospect to know for his class. The four-star talent has already picked up a few offers from top programs in the country.
Two of the more recent offers for Robertson have come from Ohio State and South Carolina. He talked about the offer from the Buckeyes.
"I was kind of surprised," said Robertson. "I followed Coach Meyer at Florida. It was a dream come true for him to offer me."
Wide receiver isn't the only position that Ohio State thinks he can play. His versatility is attractive to the staff in Columbus.
"They offered me as an athlete," Robertson noted. "They like me on both sides of the ball. They also think I can be a kick returner and punt returner."
Robertson admits that the Buckeyes are a school he likes early on.
"I like Ohio State a whole lot," he admitted. "I like their coaches, tradition, and their fan base. As soon as my basketball season is over I'm going to go up there for a visit."
It is still very early in regards to Robertson's recruitment but he has pinpointed three schools that have caught his attention early on.
"Ohio State, Georgia, and Clemson are in my top three but that's not in any particular order," he stated. "It could change because other schools are starting to offer as well."
Robertson is only a high school sophomore but already has a handful of visits he'd like to take soon.
"I know there is a few places I'd like to take visits to," he pointed out. "I want to visit Texas A&M, Ohio State, North Carolina, South Carolina, and a few others. I still have two years left though so a lot could change."
