Junior Lineman has OSU on top

2015 Union City (NJ) offensive lineman Steven Gonzalez has the Buckeyes on top for his services and hopes to make a trip to Columbus to check out Ohio State soon.

2015 Union City (NJ) offensive lineman Steven Gonzalez was informed of a few visitors he will have at his school the first day after the dead period ends. The Ohio State head coach will head to New Jersey for his first opportunity to hit the road on the recruiting trail in 2014.

"Coach Meyer and Coach Warinner are coming by the school on Thursday," said Gonzalez. "They came before in November, too. I stay in contact a good amount with them, but I talk the most with Coach Pantoni as of now. They have told me so far that I'm on the top of their list for interior linemen in my class."

Gonzalez has announced a top list with the Buckeyes included on it but he shared additional thoughts on his favorites with Scout.

"Ohio State and Rutgers had been at the top for me but Ohio State has already created a pretty decent separation," he admitted. "They're my leader."

The junior lineman is in the middle of trying to make plans for a trip to Columbus.

"I'm definitely trying to set up a date to visit Ohio State for a basketball game or I might go the Spring Game," Gonzalez noted. "I'm definitely going to take an official visit there once I'm allowed to start taking them."

"For now I'm just focusing on setting up a visit to Ohio State," he continued. "I might visit Boston College in the Spring too, but for now it's just Ohio State.

Gonzalez has been adamant that he will make a college commitment late in the process.

"I still expect to make my college choice on National Signing Day for my class," he stressed. "I want to make sure I make the right decision and want to use the time I have to ensure that."
