Four-star Brentwood (TN) Ravenwood wide receiver Van Jefferson is definitely a prospect in high demand. He holds offers from both of the in-state schools, Tennessee and Vanderbilt, as well as Ohio State, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Penn State.
Jefferson is taking it all in stride.
"My recruitment has been going good," said Jefferson. "I'm just looking at all the schools that have offered me. I'm taking it slow right now and considering all of my options."
Jefferson has already visited Ohio State. The junior wideout attended a game during the season and holds the Buckeyes in high regard.
"Ohio State is definitely high on my list," he admitted. "It's a great place. I just got done talking to Coach Hinton. He said he is going to try to come down to see me next week."
The 6-foot-2, 170 pound receiver shared what he's heard from the Ohio State staff and how he would be used in Columbus.
"They said they could see me coming in and playing the X position," Jefferson mentioned. "They think I can be a big time playmaker for them. Right now they just want to recruit the best receivers and get it back to the way it used to be."
The Tennessee standout has a few schools he hopes to visit soon, including a return trip back to check out the Buckeyes.
"I'm going to try to make it to Ohio State again," Jefferson told Scout. "I'll also probably visit Penn State, Purdue, and Tennessee."
