2015 Jacksonville (FL) Trinity Christian safety Ben Edwards added another new offer to his collection this week. Ohio State extended a scholarship to the three-star junior.
Edwards has already visited Ohio State. He stopped in Columbus on a trip to see several colleges with three of his teammates at Trinity Christian.
"I visited there over the summer with my teammates Kevin Toliver, Jeffery Holland, and Isaiah Ford," said Edwards. "We only went to the football facilities. They were really nice. The stadium is huge. The city is beautiful. We met Urban Meyer so that was fun."
Like his teammate Jeffery Holland, Edwards announced a list of his top five schools recently. He has since made changes to it after a couple more offers rolled in.
"I had a list of my favorites but the Ohio State offer shakes it up for me," he admitted. "It's a program that's going to win, obviously. They have one of the greatest coaches of all-time in Urban Meyer. With Meyer leading Ohio State, they're going to be good again and they already were before him. It's a great football program."
The Buckeyes have surged up his list.
"Ohio State is in my top 5 now with Auburn, Stanford, UCLA, and North Carolina but there's no order to that," shared Edwards. "Notre Dame and Georgia Tech aren't too far behind."
