Five-Star LB To Visit

Five-star junior outside linebacker Ricky DeBerry has a visit set to see Ohio State in three weeks. The Richmond (VA) prospect is very fond of new Buckeye assistant Larry Johnson.

Five-star outside linebacker Ricky DeBerry was one of the many recruits that took notice when Ohio State made new hires on their defensive coaching staff. The Richmond (VA) junior holds a Buckeye offer and was very fond of the move the Buckeyes made with their defensive line coach opening.

"Larry Johnson going to Ohio State is perfect", he tweeted at the time the news broke.

Mike Vrabel left his Ohio State coaching position for a move to the NFL. He was hired by Bill O'Brien to become the new linebackers coach for the Houston Texans. He was replaced by long-time Penn State defensive line coach Larry Johnson, Sr.

Urban Meyer's hire resonates extremely well with DeBerry.

"It helps Ohio State out for me," admitted DeBerry about the addition of Larry Johnson to the Buckeye staff. "I really like him as a coach and it's definitely something that excites me."

DeBerry wants to make a few visits before naming any kind of favorites or expanding any further about his interest in the Buckeyes.

It won't take long though. DeBerry is set to visit Ohio State on February 17 followed by a visit to Virginia on March 1.
