Another of the members of the Ohio State 2014 recruiting class has faxed his letter of intent to the Buckeye coaching staff. Brady Taylor is officially a Buckeye.
SCHOOL: Columbus Bishop Ready
SIZE: 6-foot-5, 285-pounds
POSITION: Offensive tackle
STAR RANKING: THREE-STAR
POSITION RANKING: Number-77 offensive tackle
First off, Taylor is a natural tackle and has the athletic ability to play in space and also the speed to get to the second level. He has the frame to fill out to over 300-pounds, while still keeping his footspeed. Taylor raised his physical play over the past year, and was far more aggressive as a senior. Ohio State
always had him as a backup plan should others go elsewhere after seeing him in camp, and when the need arose they issued the offer.
WHY Ohio STATE: "I'm proud of myself," he explained. "It was a goal that I had to really work for. I was finally repaid for work I put in. I'm finally a Buckeye. I'm ready to get in and do the work to get ahead of the game."
"I know I'm a possible redshirt candidate," he added. "College is a whole new pace. I'll need more weight. That's the plan right now. A redshirt year is most likely. The second year at Ohio State I'll compete for the job and be ready to go."
