Another of the members of the Ohio State 2014 recruiting class has faxed his letter of intent to the Buckeye coaching staff. Noah Brown is officially a Buckeye.
SCHOOL: Sparta (NY) Pope John
SIZE: 6-foot-2, 215-pounds
POSITION: Wide receiver
STAR RANKING: FOUR-STAR
POSITION RANKING: Number-24 wide receiver
Brown brings versatility, and a key will be how quickly he can learn to play different spots. Playing wide receiver, lining up in the slot and also being in the backfield, where blitz pickups are part of the job description, take time to learn, but if Brown can do all those things, he could be the type of versatile offensive player Ohio State
desires. The huge jump in competition may also take time. Brown plays in Group III, which is a mid-level in New Jersey, and does not often face the elite parochial schools in the state. He has the size, hands and speed to be an elite player, and his burst to get through a closing defense is very good.
WHY Ohio STATE: "It was probably the hardest decision of my life. But I'd say the decision came fairly easy in the last couple of days. I'm really at peace with my decision, happy to be a Buckeye and I couldn't be more thankful with the way God has blessed me with this situation."
