2015 Fresno (CA) Clovis North defensive tackle Jacob Daniel is one of the top prospects out west for the his class. The standout junior was already once a Washington commit but has since opened his recruitment back up.
USC has recently thrown an offer his way but he brought up another school that has peaked his interest lately.
"I'm starting to narrow down my list of colleges down again," said Daniel. "Ohio State is one of the schools that I'm looking at very closely. I haven't spoke to any of the coaches since I got the offer. It's just a school I really like."
It's a combination of factors that have lead Daniel to re-consider the Buckeyes.
"It's a great football program, historically," he noted. "I am actually a fan of Urban Meyer's coaching. Ohio State has my academic interests and it seems like a really good match for me right now."
"I'm thinking about a visit to Ohio State," he added.
