Florida Speedster likes Buckeyes

2015 Orlando (FL) Olympia running back Dexter Williams has Ohio State as a top school early on after they extended an offer his way yesterday.

2015 Orlando (FL) Olympia speedy running back Dexter Williams has hit the recruiting scene in a big way lately. Florida, Miami, and South Carolina identified him in the past couple weeks and extended an offer his way.

The Buckeyes have now joined the three southeast programs. Ohio State assistant Stan Drayton delivered the good news to Williams yesterday.

"I was told to call him so I did and it was a great discussion," Williams said about the conversation with Drayton. "He broke the news to me then that he would be offering."

"It was a great feeling," he added. "It actually made my day. It was a huge surprise. I hadn't received that many letters from Ohio State so it was unexpected. I hadn't talked much to the coaches, either. For it to happen to me was very surprising."

The quick-footed, 6-foot standout is already being urged to make a trip to Columbus to check out what the Buckeyes have to offer.

"Coach Drayton said he wants to come up and get a feel for the campus and the program," noted Williams. "He wants to get to know me more. He said I was a great player and that the Ohio State program could do a lot for me. I plan on going up and visiting Ohio State when I have the chance to."

The Buckeyes should contend to win the services of Williams as he admits Ohio State is a school at the top for him.

"I know they are one of the best programs," Williams mentioned. "I've seen Coach Meyer at Florida. He has made Ohio State a great program too and it has impressed me."

"I have high interest in Ohio State," he continued. "They are one of my top schools. I also like Auburn and Georgia."
