Pooler Visits Purdue

On Saturday afternoon, Chaminade Julienne (Ohio) sophomore Jeffery Pooler made his way to Purdue for a visit. Check out what the defensive end thought of the Boilermakers.

Sophomore defensive end Jeffery Pooler made his way to Purdue on Saturday to check out their Spring game.

"The visit was nice," said Pooler. "I talked with coach (Marcus) Freeman a lot more and a few other coaches. He said he'll be down to see me in two weeks."

Pooler says he and Freeman discussed several different things.

"We talked about their defensive scheme. They ran a 4-3 and were getting after it. They had multiple sacks. They talked the most about how they felt about me. They said my film was nice and I have the height and just need to pick up some weight and they will see me in a couple weeks," he said.

While he was on campus, the sophomore was able to check out all the Boilermakers had to offer.

"I toured all of the facilities. The Mollenkopf is sweet with all of the trophies and All-Americans. They have a large indoor field and nice outdoor field. I love the weight room. It's large and they have a lot of machines and benches so nobody should ever be sitting around. They also have the Gatorade nutrition section in there," said Pooler.

Overall, Pooler came away impressed with the school.

"I like the atmosphere and campus. It's not too far from home and I got treated really nice."

The sophomore hopes to visit a few more schools before Spring workouts end.

"I might go to Ball State and Miami (Ohio)'s Spring games. I also might see Michigan State and Kentucky practices," said Pooler.
