Canes offer 6-6 OL from Tallahassee

The Hurricanes dipped into the Tallahassee area again this past week, this time by offering one of the area's top offensive line prospects. Read on to learn more about him as a prospect and what Miami's chances are.

Brendan Loftus says Miami offered him a scholarship last week.

Here are his Nike testing numbers from the spring:
6-7, 281
5.42/40
4.75/shuttle
23-inch vertical jump
34-foot power toss

He has ideal size and the frame to be play at way over 300 pounds at the college level. He is a pretty good athlete at that size, too.

Wisconsin, UCLA, Auburn, and Ole Miss were some of his earlier offers so he's being recruited like a solid three-star prospect.

Miami started recruiting him back in the spring and invited him down for camp. He attended, and was impressive enough to earn an offer from the Canes. The fact that he drove eight hours to attend camp indicates some strong interest. As long as Florida State and Florida don't offer him, Miami seems to have a decent chance moving forward.
