Sprinkle No Longer Part Of OSU Team

Per an Ohio State spokesman, the football program has parted ways with the defensive lineman who was arrested over the Fourth of July weekend

According to an Ohio State spokesman, defensive lineman Tracy Sprinkle is no longer a part of the Ohio State football team. The decision was made today by head coach Urban Meyer.

Sprinkle's status will be re-evaluated after all legal issues are resolved, per the spokesman.

Sprinkle was suspended yesterday morning after his arrest over the Independence Day holiday in Lorain, Ohio, near his hometown of Elyria. He was charged with cocaine possession as well as rioting/failure to disperse following an incident at the Grown & Sexy Lounge in Lorain.

Per media reports, the 19-year-old redshirt freshman pleaded not guilty this morning.
