FNL: Underclassmen Offensive Headliners

Ohio State will host a bevy of underclassmen talent for Friday Night Lights. Here's a look at the offensive side of the ball.

Ohio State is hosting a stacked group of prospects across three different recruiting classes for Friday Night Lights at the end of this week. Our first look takes a glance at some of the headliners on the offensive side of the ball that will be on hand from the 2016 and 2017 classes.


Jake Hausmann. Cincinnati (OH) Moeller Four-star tight end. He's the nation's top tight end for his class and has many connections to the Buckeye program. Hausmann will be one of the top prospects there, regardless of class.

Luke Farrell. Perry (OH) Three-star tight end. He's a major lean to Ohio State and everyone will get one of their first looks at his ability on Friday.

Demario McCall. North Ridgeville (OH) Four-star running back. He'll be one of the more entertaining prospects of the entire to field to watch on Friday.

Thiyo Lukusa. Traverse City (MI) Four-star offensive guard. Lukusa will be working out and will arrive in Columbus Thursday to check out the campus and program.

Austin Mack. Fort Wayne (IN) Four-star wide receiver. He's one of the top prospects in the midwest for the 2016 class and recently hauled in an offer from the Buckeyes.

Michael Onwenu. Detroit (MI) Cass Tech Four-star offensive guard. The Buckeyes were his first offer and he is very high on the program. He will not be working out, though.

Binjimen Victor. Coconut Creek (FL) Four-star wide receiver. He picked up an offer from Ohio State not long ago and the Buckeyes will have a good idea of how hard they want to pursue after seeing him in person.

Elijah Holyfield. College Park (GA) Three-star running back. It'll be another try-out process as Ohio State gets a good look at what he can do from the running back position.

Justin Layne. Cleveland (OH) Benedictine four-star wide receiver. He's one of the top prospects in Ohio and a definite candidate to receive an offer.

Drake Jackson. Versailles (KY) Four-star center. He's ranked as the best center in the country for the 2016 class, and another definite candidate to be offered. He's camped for Ohio State numerous times already, showing his strong desire for an offer.

Desmond Fitzpatrick. Farmington (MI) Four-star wide receiver. He was pinpointed by Scout analysts as prospect to keep an eye on since his freshman year and has developed nicely, since. Fitzpatrick has also camped at Ohio State several times and is definitely on the radar.


Josh Myers. Miamisburg (OH) offensive tackle. He already has a strong offer sheet, including one from Ohio State. The Buckeyes should have no problem reeling him in.

Donovan Peoples-Jones. Detroit (MI) Cass Tech wide receiver. The standout's first offer was from Ohio State and will be a national prospect as well.

Trevon Grimes. Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas wide receiver. He's another 2017 recruit that is already a national prospect and grew up very fond of Ohio State.
