Waters Speaks Out For First Time After Firing

Dismissed Ohio State band director Jon Waters made the media rounds this morning to give his side of the story that has caught the attention of Buckeye Nation, one day after the university named his interim replacements.

Fired Ohio State band director Jon Waters broke his silence Tuesday morning on the controversy that cost him his job, and he reiterated many of the points about how he tried to change the band culture that.

Waters appeared on both "Good Morning America" and "The Today Show" to discuss how he wants to try to reclaim his job and work with the university to change the sexually charged culture that the university cited in his firing.

However, Ohio State does not appear set to return him to his post. Yesterday, the College of Arts and Sciences named director of university bands Russel Mikkelson and his associate director, Scott Jones, as interim directors.
