Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer updated the media on Saturday's scrimmage.

Braxton Miller scrimmaged today. Still limited throwing, but Meyer insists he's still on schedule and will be ready for the Navy game.

Baldwin is the starting RT and Decker is obviously at LT with Elflein at RG. Chad Lindsay got his shoulder "dinged up" but still scrimmaged today. Looks like Price and Hale still battling ahead of Underwood at LG and Boren has a slight lead over Lindsay at center.

Safety is still a three-way battle between Powell, Bell and Burrows.

Urban Meyer seeing a better chance for instant impact from the freshmen this year than last year. Attributes last year's redshirts to not getting them ready fast enough.

Meyer says there are some "health issues" at corner. Grant, Conley and Lattimore all slightly nicked with various injuries but nothing long-term. Meyer says Grant has had a great camp.

Ezekiel Elliott is back at practice but still no contact. Bri'onte Dunn and Rod Smith have both looked good this fall. Meyer bats away the insinuation that Curtis Samuel has hit a wall, says he also looks good.

Urban excited that they've had minimal serious injuries but disappointed that nagging injuries have resulted in limited consistency.

Meyer says Tommy Schutt is one of the most improved players on the team.

Steve Miller and Rashad Frazier will fill Spence's spot, but Jalyn Holmes is making a big push. Spence practices with the ones except for when they do Navy periods at practice. Meyer says that's something he's done throughout his career (practicing suspended players to keep them engaged).

Urban Meyer tells his guys that it's a street fight for the ball.

Mike Thomas and Corey Smith seizing opportunities with Devin Smith nursing a sore hamstring.

Meyer feels much better about the backup quarterback spot than he did a week ago. Says J.T. Barrett has made huge strides.

Meyer does not have a roommate at the team hotel. (Yes, this was asked.)

Tyquan Lewis has had migraines.

"I know he'll be ready." Meyer on Braxton Miller. Still volume issues holding him back.

Meyer says Doran Grant could have scrimmaged today but they played it safe and held him out.

Meyer says Taylor Decker acts like a captain and acts like a grown man. Product of the OL culture established by Warinner at Ohio State.
