First BCS Offer For Cupp

Leipsic offensive lineman Gavin Cupp is one of the top 2016 prospects in Ohio, and he has hit the recruiting radar of several schools. Cupp picked up his first BCS offer recently.

Gavin Cupp is one of the top 2016 offensive line prospects in Ohio, and the Leipsic product has seen his recruitment start to increase in recent months.

Cupp, 6-foot-5, 275-pounds, had earlier picked up his first two offers, from Toledo and Bowling Green. In the past week, Cupp added his first BCS offer.

"I was offered by West Virginia," Cupp stated. "The offer came as a surprise, to be honest. They started following me Twitter, and it kind of took off from there. My coach called me into the weight room a few days ago, and said he had good news for me."

"He said I was offered by West Virginia, and I was a little shocked to be honest," he added. "The offer means a lot to me, and what I really like is that they didn't mess around, but said they liked what they saw on film and went ahead and offered."

"They said if I want to come to a game that would be great, but for the most part they aren't going to bother me during the season," he continued.

Several other programs are showing interest in Cupp, and more offers could be headed his way.

"Purdue has been in touch and they want me to visit this year for a game," he explained. "I definitely want to go over there. Indiana also wants me to visit."

"Ohio State said they will be out for a game this year, which is good because I didn't perform at their camp as well as I thought I should have," Cupp said.
