Several key visitors will be in Columbus on Saturday for the night game showdown with Virginia Tech. The first big recruiting weekend of the year for the Buckeyes will include plenty of top prospects.
Joe Burrow, Joshua Alabi, Jashon Cornell, Justin Hilliard, Nick Conner, Liam McCullough
Tyler Gerald, George Hill
Damien Harris. Berea (KY) Madison Southern four-star running back. It'll be an official visit for the country's top running back, after spending last week in Lexington. The early official visits indicate that a decision could come before the season ends.
Josh Sweat. Chesapeake (VA) Oscar Smith five-star defensive end. It's a crucial visit for the Buckeyes as they host the nation's top defensive end. It'll be his last time on foot in Columbus so a strong impression has to be made.
Matthew Burrell. Woodbridge (VA) C.D. Hylton four-star offensive guard. Like Sweat, this is a key visit as it's most likely the last time Burrell steps foot on campus before a college choice is made. The Buckeyes are squarely in the discussion, along with Alabama, Florida State, and Penn State.
Jordan Whitehead. Monaca (PA) Central Valley four-star cornerback. Whitehead keeps returning to Columbus, which is a positive sign for the Buckeyes' chances. Ohio State is at the top of the list along with Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Alabama.
Jacques Patrick. Orlando (FL) Timber Creek four-star running back. Patrick has been to Ohio State two times previously but is a definite lean to Florida State. Last chance for the Buckeyes to impress.
Kevin Toliver. Jacksonville (FL) Trinity Christian five-star cornerback. He's a big-time visitor for this weekend, but an LSU commit. It will be difficult to steer him away from the Tigers.
Nick Bosa. Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas five-star defensive end. He'll be a Buckeye commit at some point. The question is when.
Brendan Ferns. St. Clairsville (OH) four-star outside linebacker. Ohio State is in the driver's seat for his services and the visit should only help those chances.
Demario McCall. North Ridgeville (OH) four-star running back. He projects to be more of a hybrid type and should be a Buckeye commit at some point.
Carter Coughlin. Eden Prairie (MN) four-star outside linebacker. Ohio State beat a lot of schools to the punch by offering, and he's returning the favor by visiting immediately afterwards.
Michael Onwenu. Detroit (MI) Cass Tech four-star offensive guard. He's emerged as one of the nation's best at his position over the last several months. He's already taken multiple trips to Ohio State.
Jonathon Cooper. Gahanna (OH) Lincoln four-star outside linebacker. He should be a Buckeye, and blew up on the recruiting scene over the Spring.
Tyrece Speaight. Akron (OH) St. Vincent-St. Mary three-star cornerback. He's one to keep an eye on as he works for an offer from Ohio State.
