Alexander Chooses Ohio State

Ohio State got its 16th commit in the class of 2015 when A.J. Alexander pledged to the Buckeyes.

Ohio State has reached back into the Virginia well to pull a recruit out of the Old Dominion.

Burke (Va.) Lake Braddock three-star wide receiver A.J. Alexander (6-3, 221) chose Ohio State over Wisconsin in an announcement made prior to his team's football game Friday night.

He is the second prospect in Ohio State's 2015 class to be classified as a receiver by -- with the other being Canton (Ohio) McKinley four-star prospect Eric Glover-Williams -- although the Buckeyes may be more interested in him as a tight end or in the hybrid role.

Prior to announcing, Alexander admitted that he was having a hard time separating the two schools. "They’ve both stayed in contact with me throughout the recruiting process and both schools present me with great opportunity to possibly play at the next level,” he said. ”They also offer great degrees and great connections off the field.”

Alexander is also the second Virginia prospect for Ohio State in as many years, joining 2014 signee Jalyn Holmes.
