Stump Flips To Ohio State

Ohio State was off this week but still picked up a verbal commitment as four-star wideout Alex Stump switched his pledge from Kentucky to Ohio State.

Ohio State picked up commitment No. 17 in its class of 2015 as four-star wideout Alex Stump of Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward switched his pledge from Kentucky to Ohio State on Sunday afternoon.

The 6-3, 190-pound Stump is the No. 24 wideout in the class and is rated 177th in the Scout 300.

"Nice sized kid with the frame to continue to add bulk. Good ball tracking skills, catch radius and uses his body well to get in position to make grabs and shield defenders. Can go up and make catches away from his body. Used on screens and short routes and shows solid open field ability. Good but not great speed and does not always create a lot of separation. Shows toughness and willingness to go over the middle and to get involved as a blocker," Scout's breakdown of the prospect states.

Stump was recently offered by Ohio State and also has offers from Miami, Stanford and West Virginia, among others.

He is the second wideout in OSU's class joining A.J. Alexander, a three-star prospect from Burke, Va., who committed Sept. 12.

Stay tuned for more on his commitment from Scout.com.
