BSB TV: Matta And Players Preview High Point

Coming off a 1-1 week, Ohio State prepares to host High Point Wednesday at 7 p.m. Head coach Thad Matta, senior Amir Williams and freshman Jae'Sean Tate reflected on the week that was and looked at what's ahead for the Buckeyes

Ohio State (6-1) moved up to No. 12 in the Associated Press poll Monday despite a 1-1 week. The Buckeyes fell to Louisville and rebounded with a win over Colgate.

Next up is a contest with High Point (6-2) tomorrow night at Value City Arena. Thad Matta, Amir Williams and Jae'sean Tate met with reporters to discuss what has been working, what hasn't and what they expect from their game with the Panthers.

Williams on how some of the seniors are handling their recent individual struggles and Tate on the heavy minutes that the freshmen have received late in each of the past two games.

Matta said that it may have been a poor choice of words when he said on his radio show Monday that he didn’t want any individuals feeling sorry for themselves and speaks to the general dynamic of the team.

Amir Williams addresses the improved interior defense in the Buckeyes zone scheme. Over the past two games the Buckeyes have held their opponents to 32.7 percent shooting (16 of 49) on two-point attempts.

Mattta addresses the adjustments the Buckeyes have made and what he will be looking for when Ohio State hosts High Point and John Brown (19.5 points per game) tomorrow.
