BSB TV: Final Tune-Up Before Big Ten Play

Thad Matta, Jae'Sean Tate and Marc Loving talk about Ohio State's season so far and look ahead to the start of Big Ten play,

Ohio State has moved to 10-2 this season and only one game remains before the team enters conference play. That game is a 7 p.m. Saturday contest with in-state foe Wright State (8-5).

The Buckeyes will use the Raiders as a final tune-up before conference play starts Dec. 30 against Iowa. Thad Matta, Marc Loving and Jae'sean Tate addressed the status of the team entering their 13th game of the year.

Matt explained why the team has used exclusively a zone defense this season after an exclusive man-to-man approach last season.

Loving, who played in the man-to-man defense a year ago, spoke about the challenges of the zone and where the Buckeyes are at defensively.

The Buckeyes have shot 56.0 percent in their 10 wins and 32.8 percent in their two losses. Matta discussed the offensive struggles in the defeats and specifically the Dec. 20 loss to North Carolina.

Tate on his excitement about starting his first Big Ten season and Loving on how different conference play is.
