Dre'Mont Jones

SCHOOL: Cleveland St. Ignatius.

SIZE: 6-foot-5, 250-pounds

POSITION: Defensive end.

POSITION RANKING: Number-21 defensive end.

SCOUTING REPORT: Big framed kid and a very good natural athlete. Shows good change of direction and pursuit ability for a kid of his size. Moves around on the field effortlessly and has the length and height to continue adding weight and strength. Raw technically and does not yet make the amount of plays that his physical talent warrants. Upside is high and the prevailing thought is that his best football is ahead of him still. - Allen Trieu.

WHY Ohio State? "I was meeting with coach (Larry) Johnson and we were talking about the four year process. After he was done talking, I told him I was ready to commit. This was my third time visiting, so I knew I was ready," said Jones. "I've been thinking about this for a good month. I knew coming in today I was ready to finally say it."

"We have a pretty strong relationship. We talk about a lot in from personal life to football life and academics. We're pretty comfortable. This was my third time visiting. Each time I came I got more and more comfortable being around them and being at the facility. That's what made me commit," he said.
