SCHOOL: C.D. Hylton HS.
SIZE: 6-foot-4, 290-pounds.
POSITION: Offensive guard.
STAR RANKING: FOUR-STAR.
POSITION RANKING: Number-11 guard.
SCOUTING REPORT: Burrell was playing center at times on Monday, a position he's largely unfamiliar with. Ohio State has not talked to him about trying the position, but he says he will "definitely bring it up."
"I've snapped just playing around before, but now I'm doing it to the point where I can see doing it in the future, but definitely, guard/tackle is my position, but centers make money too."
WHY WAS Ohio STATE THE RIGHT SCHOOL? ”It was more about relationships and academics than athletics,” Burrell said. “(Wide receivers) coach (Zach) Smith and I have gotten really close since my sophomore year and I email coach (Urban) Meyer all the time and talk to him more than any other coach. I’m really close with all the coaches.”
Burrell is looking forward to playing for the Buckeyes’ head coach.
”It’s an honor to have a chance to play for a legendary coach,” he said. “He’s won championships and he takes a lot of pride in the program and what they accomplish. It’s just an honor.”
