It was his second FBS offer to date, joining the Ohio offer he received May 5.
Scott, who said he was measured at 6-4, 299 pounds, said he was pretty pleased with his showing at the camp, which came under the watchful eye of Ohio State offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Ed Warinner.
“I felt my feet were really good and I felt I put in some pretty good work with Coach Warinner,” Scott said. “I love Coach Warinner and his work ethic. I know the things I need to work on now and I know my strengths. It was an overall great day of work, learned a lot of new things. I think I had a pretty successful camp with an offer from Toledo and building interest from him.”
Scott is coming off a recent visit to Virginia Tech, which he also enjoyed.
“I was at Virginia Tech last Saturday and I really like Coach (Stacy) Searels, their offensive line coach,” he said. “I love the school and what they’ve got going on down there, but being a small-town Ohio kid, you can’t help but love the Buckeyes too. They’re definitely up there on my list.”
Scott said he will take a visit to Toledo on June 20 and will visit Kent State on July 24 with a trip to Eastern Michigan also a possibility this summer. He said he hopes to take multiple trips this fall to see games at Ohio, Ohio State, Purdue and Virginia Tech.
