Even though he insists he's wide open as far as his recruitment goes, Cleveland Heights wide receiver Jaylen Harris certainly holds Ohio State in high regard. The four-star recruit is the number-three prospect in Ohio for 2017.
Harris, 6-foot-5, 205-pounds, holds offers from the likes of Alabama, Michigan, Michigan State and Tennessee, as well as the Buckeyes. He is planning to be in Columbus this fall to meet with the coaches and see Ohio State play.
"I'm just keeping all my options open right now in recruiting, and my focus is mainly on my season and helping our team win a lot of games," Harris stated. "The newer schools would be Arizona and Auburn, but they haven't offered. As far as recruiting goes with Ohio State, I speak with Coach (Tony) Alford pretty often really."
"Since I couldn't make it for Friday Night Lights because I had AAU basketball, they want me to come down for a practice in a few weeks and I'm definitely going to do that," he added. "Nothing is set yet, but I'm coming to a practice on a day that doesn't conflict with my schedule and it will happen."
"I've got to get to at least one game this year for sure, maybe more," he continued. "I'm definitely coming when they play Michigan State. I need to look at our schedules and see about coming to a game before Michigan State."
Harris was recently offered by Michigan State following an unofficial visit, and he has already scheduled a trip back to East Lansing to see the Spartans when they host Oregon on September 12.
