Damon Webb Suspended By Ohio State

Ohio State has suspended Damon Webb for a violation of athletics department policy before today's game vs. Northern Illinois.

According to a one-sentence release distributed to media around 2:15 p.m., sophomore Damon Webb has been suspended from the football team for a "violation of athletics department policy."

The statement did not include any time frame for the suspension.

Webb has been the Buckeyes' nickel back this season after working on special teams and in a backup role a year ago. He has eight tackles in two games this season.

The Detroit Cass Tech product could be replaced by redshirt freshman Marshon Lattimore or junior Cameron Burrows.
