Just getting Bruce on campus is a WIN for Urban Meyer and company, and this will be Ohio State's chance to show the four-star slot receiver his future home should be Columbus, not Miami. Bruce would fit Meyer's offense perfectly, and would be a player that would challenge for playing time from Day-One. OSU'S CHANCES? I've always had Bruce as a no-chance recruit, and have very good intel on this prospect. There has been a change in how Sam and his mother look at recruiting in the past month, and I now give Ohio State a puncher's chance. This visit will tell a lot, and the hope would be it inspires a followup trip with mom later this year.
This one just keeps hanging in there, and what once appeared to be a Gator lock is now not that at all. While Victor could still end up at Florida, there's no doubt Ohio State is in this one until the end. Zach Smith has done a great job with VIctor, never wavering in his pursuit. Between Victor and Donnie Corley, I would rate Ohio State's chances higher on the Coconut Creek wideout. OSU'S CHANCES? This one is definitely trending upward for Ohio State, and seeing Binjimen Victor signing with the Buckeyes next February could happen. This visit will be key, and like Bruce, you would love to see him back again later in the year.
It's not easy to get solid intel on the big guy out of Louisiana, but what I know isn't all that positive for the Buckeyes. Lawrence is coming, and that's the first step in landing the player. He also does have a relationship with Larry Johnson, but this recruitment reminds me of the Terry Beckner situation from last year. I can see Lawrence flirting with Ohio State for a long time, but eventually staying home to play for Les Miles and LSU. OSU'S CHANCES? I'm not optimistic, but Urban Meyer has pulled off bigger surprises than Rashard Lawrence in the past. Gotta see where this one heads after the visit.
What a turn of events at runningback for Ohio State, and it all took place in the span of 24 hours. First, Kareem Walker continued his tour of America, and the latest trip took him to Ann Arbor. That definitely got Urban Meyer's attention. And Ohio State apparently got the attention of Williams, who decommitted from Wisconsin and scheduled a visit to Ohio State. Although this visit might end up being unofficial, this is still a big one for the Buckeyes and Williams. OSU'S CHANCES? The Buckeyes will have another runningback commit very soon with Williams, and then it remains to be seen how that might affect Walker. I see Antonio Williams being a member of the Ohio State recruiting class.
