Ohio State Football: Buckeyes No. 3 In College Football Playoff Rankings

Ohio State was ranked No. 3 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday night.

It was more of the same for Ohio State in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, as the Buckeyes were once again listed third behind top-ranked Clemson and an SEC team – with Alabama replacing LSU at the No. 2 spot.

Alabama at No. 2 and Ohio State at No. 3 would create a rematch of last year’s Sugar Bowl that the Buckeyes won, 42-35. Ohio State still has plenty of room to jump up and change that, though, as the two most marquee games of OSU’s regular season will be played in the final two weeks and the Buckeyes could also face an undefeated Iowa team if both teams win out.

Speaking of Iowa, the Buckeyes had plenty of other company among Big Ten teams in the rankings. Iowa was fifth, Michigan State was No. 13, Michigan was No. 14, Northwestern was No. 18 and Wisconsin was No. 25.
