After a huge Monday when the Buckeyes picked up verbal commitments from four-stars Binjimen Victor, Dwayne Haskins Jr. and Keandre Jones, Ohio State's 2016 class is up to 21.
Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes were already tight on scholarship numbers, though nine early departures for the NFL helped that situation to some extent, and it now looks like Ohio State could already be at the limit of 85 if no more roster moves are made. That number includes each returning scholarship player – including Corey Smith, who could get a sixth year of eligibility – and all 21 of the team's 2016 commits.
That number does not include former walk-on linebackers Joe Burger and Craig Fada, who were recently put on scholarship, because it's possible they will not be on scholarship beyond the spring semester.
It seems likely that the roster will endure some shape-shifting in the coming days and weeks, so more commits could be added going forward, but here's how the 2016 scholarship count shapes up right now (open the chart in a new window to enlarge):
