Ohio State recruiting: Buckeyes flip Rodjay Burns from Louisville

Ohio State picked up commitment No. 22 for the class of 2016 when Rodjay Burns flipped from Louisville.

A week after landing a trio of commitments – two of which flipped from Maryland – Ohio State was back at it.

The Buckeyes landed Louisville (Ky.) Trinity three-star athlete Rodjay Burns, who announced his commitment on Twitter after officially visiting Ohio State over the weekend.

“It was a really good visit, I like it there a lot,” Burns told Scout before making his decision. “There was never any bragging or anything like that, but they take you around and show you what the players do and how the players coach. It was a good time.”

Burns gives Ohio State another defensive back, a position of emphasis late in the recruiting cycle after the Buckeyes had a cornerback and two safeties declare for the NFL Draft as underclassmen.
