Honigford visited the Buckeyes last Friday to talk with the coaches, and although he was not offered he enjoyed his time in Columbus.
"Things went well at Ohio State, and I got to sit and talk one-on-one with Coach (Urban) Meyer," Honigford stated. "He just told me to be patient and keep working right now. They want me to come to camp this summer to work out with them."
"Coach (Greg) Studrawa and I also talked, and he also said he really likes me as a player," he added. "We talk a couple times every week, so I have a good relationship with Coach Studrawa."
Did leaving Columbus without an offer bother Honigford, who holds offers from the likes of Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Penn State, and others?
"I am going to go work out for Ohio State at camp, but it's not a life or death situation for me because I have so many great offers right now," Honigford explained. "I'm going to go there and see if I have a shot at getting offered, and it would be nice to have that opportunity."
"I am hoping to be committed before the start of my senior season, so I can concentrate on football and not have the pressure of recruiting," he stressed.
